CLARK WIRTHLIN

Clark received a magic set for Christmas when he was 10 years old; in January of the next year he had his head cut off at a church carnival. Clark was helplessly hooked and he has been performing and collecting magic ever since!

Clark’s magic book collection (mostly out of print classics on the history of magic and magicians’ biographies) now numbers over 600 volumes. He served as assistant librarian at the Magic Castle for 17 years.

Clark purchased a chop cup (Jerry Mentzer’s leather dice cup) in the mid 1970’s. His collection of chop cups numbers close to 100.

Clark is a past President of Ring 55 and has enjoyed close to 50 years of membership in the Magic Castle.

Clark is a former Marine and helicopter pilot, retiring as a Lieutenant Colonel. After completing his service in the Marine Corp, he sold helicopters.

Clark has three daughters and six grandchildren, and is happily married to his wife Elaine.
